Andrew Kennedy
Andrew Kennedy was born in Bogota, Colombia. His mother is a short Colombian woman, his father an absent minded (but highly intelligent) Englishman. He lived in Colombia, Puerto Rico, Venezuela (twice...) Hong Kong and finally the US by the time he was thirteen. Comedy just seemed the next logical step in what was already shaping to be quite an intersting life Andrew got into comedy in 1994 in Norwalk Connecticut, where he began telling stories about how everybody was always so shocked to hear him speak Spanish. People in New Canaan (one of the highest income per-capita small towns in America) couldn't figure out his family either. For two months people thought his mother was an overly affectionate maid... Andrew speaks fluent Spanish and has done comedy around the world. Twice he has been asked to perform at the prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival. His first visit culminating in a deal with CBS to develop, produce and then star in his own television pilot titled Related by Marriage His comedy is autobiographical and centers on his relationships with his wife, three children (seen here) and extended family. His 'Comedy Central Presents' taping garnered a standing ovation at the famous Hudson Theater in New York City in 2007. He went up against other comedians in Comedy Central's 2009 Comedy Showdown, and is currently writing a one-man show that he will be taking to New York later this year.
